Natural Cosmetics Conference 2010: International cosmetics industry “goes green”
- Pace in the natural cosmetics market continuing
- Trends and challenges for the industry and trade the focal point
The international market for natural beauty care offers great growth opportunities and at the same time is developing extremely dynamically. The key success factor: consistent brand positioning and the associated distribution. Trends and challenges for the industry and trade are being discussed by international decision-makers from the cosmetics manufacturing industry, marketing, sales and trade sectors from 14th to 15th September 2010 at the Nuremberg Congress Centre. This is when the Natural Cosmetics Conference will be held for the third time, once again with top-ranking speakers from the fields of science, market research, trade and industry. The special features of this year’s event include online-marketing, vertical distribution and brand positioning.
Once again this year, the services of renowned speakers from the fields of science, market research, trade and industry have been acquired for the two-day programme, which is being simultaneously translated in German and English. Firm confirmations have already been received from the three main speakers, Prof. Dr. Marcus Schögel, Institute of Marketing, University of St. Gallen (CH), Dr. Stefan Herman Siemer, brand and communication strategist, sustainability researcher, Lüneburg/Vienna (A), and Mark Wuttke, Director of the Wuttke Group, Atlanta (USA). Their themes: “Vertical marketing and innovative distribution management as integral element of brand leadership”, “Sustainability and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility): from buzzword to experienceable added value. How the ego benefit of the product and eco benefit of the corporate commitment go together” along with “Natural cosmetics in a global world”.
Management consultant and long-standing expert on the international natural cosmetics market, Mark Wuttke, Atlanta (USA), sees logical concepts, transparency and credibility as decisive factors, which tomorrow’s natural cosmetics manufacturers will use to impress. The current trend throughout the entire cosmetics industry is aptly described by the “Go green” slogan, he said. The trade can successfully position itself with natural cosmetics. A highlight at this year’s congress is the discussion involving international experts: “Bottleneck Trade? Natural cosmetics as an image-boosting segment”. What the trade needs when the demand market becomes a supply market, and how brands gear themselves up to competition on the retail shelves, will be discussed on the first day of the conference by Prof. Dr. Marcus Schögel along with Alexander Ehrmann, Saint Charles Apotheke, Vienna (A) and Elke Menold, Müller Ltd. & Co. KG, Ulm (D).
The organizer of the Natural Cosmetics Conference is NürnbergMesse, which with BioFach, World Organic Trade Fair, and the parallel event, Vivaness, Trade Fair for Natural Personal Care and Wellness, is synonymous with know-how and sector expertise in this market segment. The conference management is being handled by Organic Services GmbH, the programme chaired by Elfriede Dambacher, owner of naturkosmetik konzepte. Last autumn the second Natural Cosmetics Conference offered 118 participants, top-ranking speakers and media representatives an ideal forum for entering into a dialogue on trends and lending new impulses to the strategic further development of the entire market.
